I started Ci because of one moment I couldn’t ignore — The tragedy of the Grenfell Tower fire in London in 2017.

Like millions of people, I watched that heartbreak unfold in disbelief. When I later learned that the fire had originated from an electrical fault in a fridge-freezer, I found myself asking a simple question:
Why are we still waiting for fires to start before we act?

Electrical fires remain one of the leading causes of building fires worldwide, destroying homes, businesses and lives every single day.
The more I learned about the scale of the problem, the more I questioned why we seemed willing to accept it. That didn’t make sense to me then. It still doesn’t today.

So I made it my mission to help ensure fewer people ever have to experience the devastation caused by a preventable electrical fire.

What followed was eight years of research, development, testing, setbacks, breakthroughs, patents, certifications and relentless determination. The result was the invention of Ci ThermalVision™ – multi-award winning, patented technology designed to identify and stop overheating, arcing and other hidden electrical faults before they can develop into an electrical fire.

I embedded that technology into an intelligent socket, transforming one of the most common electrical devices in the world into a proactive safety device capable of stopping electrical fires before they start. As the technology evolved, so did my understanding of its potential.

Electrical fire risk is not confined to one product, one building or one sector. It exists wherever electricity exists.

That realisation led to the development of Ci Safe – a prevention-first building safety system built around the same core principle:
identifying danger earlier and acting before it escalates.

It also became clear that the underlying technology had the potential to be applied far beyond a single product, creating opportunities across homes, buildings, white goods, battery-powered devices, EV charging infrastructure, data centres and critical infrastructure worldwide.

Today, Ci Global is entering its next phase of growth, bringing proven technology to market and expanding the reach of prevention-first safety across multiple sectors and industries.
